So this blog has been left un loved for too long, I have decided to make it a more regular thing to post here even if not with my own shots but with links and shots from my favorite Analogue shooters.
First on the list is probably my favorite shooter of all time both film and digital Alfred Eisenstaedt this guy was a master of the craft, The image he took of the sailor kissing the nurse on VJ day 1945 is my all time favorite photo and one of the most recognisable photos ever.
He was running down the street Leica in hand watching the sailor over his shoulder when he saw him grab something white, he stopped shot 4 frames and that was it, Had the Sailor also been wearing white the shot would not have the same impact.
Born in 1898 he was one of LIFE magazines first staff shooters from 1936-1972, He also shot a meeting between Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini (he was Jewish) he later fled to live in New York where he lived until he died in 1995.
I highly suggest checking out his work as it is head and shoulders above what anyone else is capable of.
